FTC Celebrates The Warehouse with the Return of Tom Tom Club
Fairfield, CT (PRWEB) January 07, 2016 -- Fairfield Theatre Company announces the official celebration of Fairfield’s newest performing arts space with the “We Built The Warehouse Party” featuring Tom Tom Club on Jan. 23.
The Warehouse at FTC is an 8,000-square-foot venue with 640-patron capacity and has presented more than 30 events since its September 2015 opening. The venue features a flexible floor plan, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, with full video projection capabilities. This project was funded through a $1.5M capital campaign with contributions from individual private donors, foundations, local businesses, and Connecticut state grants.
The celebration begins at 6 p.m. with an exclusive VIP reception for donors, supporters, and community leaders. Entertainment for the evening will be courtesy of the iconic rock group, Tom Tom Club. The band’s founders, Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth, are Fairfield residents and inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. These original members of The Talking Heads, along with special guests, reunite for one special evening to celebrate The Warehouse.
“Chris and Tina have become an integral part of the FTC family and the Fairfield community over the years,” said FTC Executive Director John Reid. “We are honored and excited to have them turn this celebration into an unforgettable event.”
As stated by Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth, “This ain’t the Mudd Club or CBGB. This is The Warehouse and Tom Tom Club is very happy to perform and celebrate the opening of this super cool new music venue at FTC.”
A limited number of tickets to the “We Built The Warehouse Party” are available to the general public for $95 ($85 for FTC Members). Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. FTC invites fans and supporters alike to join together and celebrate what the community has accomplished together.

About Fairfield Theatre Company:
The Fairfield Theatre Company is a nonprofit organization dedicated to a simple premise - that the broadest spectrum of live entertainment and cultural exchange is essential to the vitality of our society. We believe that our quality of life depends on opportunities to get out, and come together in public places to enjoy live music, art, theatre, film, all manners of creative and intellectual discourse, and to participate in these activities to the fullest. From our first season of plays in 2001 on the Fairfield University campus, to the opening of our StageOne venue in downtown Fairfield in 2004, The Warehouse in 2015, to a string of highly-acclaimed performances presented at The Klein Auditorium in Bridgeport and the Norwalk Concert Hall, FTC has evolved into the region’s most energetic and productive performing arts organization.
