FTC Presents 11 September Shows at StageOne
Fairfield, CT (PRWEB) August 31, 2016 -- The Fairfield Theatre Company will present 11 shows between Sept. 11 and Sept. 30 at StageOne.
A slew of these artists have previously performed at the downtown Fairfield venue and now return to appease their Northeast fan base. Ireland’s own Declan O’Rourke kicks things off Sept. 11, returning for his fifth StageOne show since 2012. Following him is electro-jam band Earphunk on Sept. 13, singer-songwriter Joe Purdy on Sept. 14, indie folk band Donna The Buffalo on Sept. 15, reggae group John Brown’s Body on Sept. 17, and New Riders of the Purple Sage, which originally featured most members of The Grateful Dead, on Sept. 18.
The next two weeks introduce even more diversity with artists, including Poor Man’s Whiskey’s upbeat bluegrass, rock and folk on Sept. 23, indie folk artist Anais Mitchell on Sept. 24, contemporary and classic cello renditions from Portland Cello Project on Sept. 25, Fruition’s soulful blues and funk on Sept. 28, and the rough-and-tough bluesman Popa Chubby on Sept. 30.
“Some of our best shows have been at FTC StageOne,” said Poor Man’s Whiskey frontman Josh Brough. “We feel so relaxed in the room and get the best response from the crowd; it truly is our home away from home on the East Coast. We are so excited to release our live album in which most of the tracks were recorded on StageOne. It’s some of the best music we have ever played."
A great month is ahead with a full schedule of shows on both StageOne and in The Warehouse at Fairfield Theatre Company. Visit fairfieldtheatre.org for the full schedule and ticketing information.
