Fueling Excitement at the Monaco Grand Prix 2014 – Official Perfume Sponsor of Amber Lounge, Fragrance Du Bois, Creates Bespoke Fragrance For Founder Sonia Irvine

“We wanted the perfume launch to be extra special this year, particularly as it will be at the Monaco Grand Prix, the blue ribbon event of the Formula 1 Championship,” says Chloé Kurzmann, Brand Manager at Du Bois.
“Fragrance Du Bois specialises in the creation of luxury, personalised fragrances, and the obvious attraction and synergy with the Amber Lounge, provided an excellent opportunity for the creation of a bespoke fragrance; based on combining our signature pure Oud oil with amber accords,” Kurzmann added.
This year’s Amber Lounge events feature the Annual Amber Lounge Fashion Show in Monaco, where British designer Julien Macdonald and American swimwear designer Melissa Odabash, will showcase their collaborative resort wear on the runway, including limited edition evening gowns created exclusively for the show.
Du Bois’ perfumer Sandra Dziad enters the stellar line up with her innovations in scent. Dziad is at the vanguard of a young group of perfumers changing the face of the fragrance world. Inspired by nature, consumed by a passion for her art, she has created more than a thousand bespoke fragrances – many for celebrities of world renown.

- The Perfume
Dynamic, fresh and exciting, Oud Amber Intense, crafted exclusively for Sonia Irvine, reflects the creative vision and entrepreneurial spirit that successfully inaugurated the glamorous Amber Lounge events.
Drawing inspiration from the Orient, Oud Amber Intense has a spicy, citrusy opening, with notes of bergamot, tangerine, black pepper and cinnamon. Flowers, fruity wood notes of neroli, rose, blackcurrant and patchouli infuse the heart, and are held together with an amber accord. The mélange enraptures the senses, with a finish of musk and Du Bois’ signature 100% pure, natural Oud.

As a result of Du Bois’ commitment to using only sustainably-sourced ingredients, the fragrance has been endorsed by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. 5% of the proceeds go to the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and another 5% goes to the Brain and Spine Foundation. The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation is a foundation dedicated to the protection of the environment created by HSH Prince Albert in 2006. The Brain and Spine Foundation is the official charity for the Amber Lounge Monaco 2014, a decision made by Sonia Irvine in light of F1 driver Michael Schumacher’s accident last December.
With the sale of each fragrance, Du Bois will work with its sustainable plantation partner to plant one Aquilaria tree - the source of the Oud in all Du Bois’ fragrances - and one teak tree, with the Plant Genetics Programme supported by the Thai Royal Family.
