Full Sail University Announces Graduate Results for The 56th Annual GRAMMY® Awards
Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- Full Sail University is proud to announce that 20 graduates worked on 16 GRAMMY®-winning projects across 20 categories at the 56th Annual GRAMMY® Awards (http://www.grammy.com), which aired live on CBS, Sunday, January 26, 2014 and was hosted by LL Cool J.
Of these graduates, one alum, Sebastian Krys, earned a GRAMMY® award of his very own for his work as Composer, Engineer and Producer on La Santa Cecilia’s “Treinta Dias.” In total, 64 Full Sail graduates and one current student were credited on 53 artists’ releases that were nominated across 42 separate categories.
GRAMMY®-winning projects that Full Sail graduates contributed to during this year’s ceremony include:

• Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical (Daft Punk – “Random Access Memories”)
• Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (Daft Punk & Pharrell Williams – “Get Lucky - Track from: Random Access Memories”)
• Best Rock Album (Led Zeppelin –“Celebration Day”)
• Best New Age Album (Laura Sullivan – “Love’s River”)
• Best Gospel Album (Tye Tribbett – “Greater Than (Live)”)
• Best Contemporary Christian Music Album (Mandisa – “Overcomer”)
• Best Latin Pop Album- (Draco Rosa – “Vida”)
• Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album (La Santa Cecilia – “Treinta Dias”)
• Best Blues Album (Ben Harper with Charlie Musselwhite – “Get Up!”)
• Best Musical Theater Album (Original Broadway Cast with Stark Sands, Billy Porter and Others - “Kinky Boots”)
• Best Historical Album – (The Rolling Stones- “Charlie is My Darling”)
• Best Rap/Sung Collaboration – (Jay Z featuring Justin Timberlake – “Holy Grail – Track from: Magna Carta…Holy Grail”)
In addition, Full Sail graduates have mixed, recorded, or assisted on 18 GRAMMY®-winning Album of the Year releases over the past 24 years.
