Step 1: After downloading and installing the app, users start by setting up their personal profile that includes their interests and, if they wish, an entertaining video. Users who choose to login via Facebook can also immediately connect with friends, family and fans by clicking on their profile picture.
Step 2: Users browse the “People” section to find someone they know – or someone they’d like to know. They can search by age, gender, distance or location. For distance-based searches, users can browse for users within 310 miles/500km. For location-based searchers, users can browse the globe by dropping a pin on the app’s unique interactive map.
Step 3: Users swipe through people one-by-one, or they can scroll the app’s interactive people wall – either in portrait or landscape mode – in order to see many people at once. After clicking and reading profiles, they can send an invitation to connect simply by swiping up.
While this is happening, users also receive a steady stream of invitations from old and new friends. They can respond via normal text, photo or video messages, or they can respond via Snapchat-like “flash” messages that disappear after a few seconds. Unlike disappearing messages in other apps the timer only counts down while the users is viewing the message, this provide users the luxury to ration viewing time if they wish. Users can also share photos from their device’s camera roll.
