Funeral.us.org Optimizes Site for New Mobile Devices and Older Browsers
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Funeral.us.org has recoded its site to make it easier for people to use its service on older browsers and new portable devices, the company said yesterday.
“We had a fair number of complaints from people who could not read their death records reports,” a Funeral.us.org spokesman said. “We analyzed the situation and discovered the problems were confined to browser and mobile issues.”
Many of the site's customers are older users who have not updated their browsers in some time, the Funeral.us.org spokesman said. This caused technical problems that made it impossible to display their reports.
“In other cases the reports were displayed on mobile devices but very difficult to read,” he said. “Neither situation was good, so we had our technical staff work on the problem.”
The site will now automatically recognize the browser or mobile device and alter the report so that the reports are displayed perfectly no matter how people have accessed Funeral.us.org, he said.
“This should not only free up our customer service staff, but also create better customer satisfaction,” the Funeral.us.org spokesman said. “It was a technical problem we did not anticipate, but have worked hard to address.”
The site will also feature a guide on how to update older browsers, he said.
“Many people don't realize how difficult it can be to access sites if your browser is not up to date,” the Funeral.us.org spokesman said. “So it makes sense for us to help people who may not even know they can update their browsers.”
