G-CON Manufacturing Inc. Completes CE Mark Approval Testing for its Autonomous Cleanroom PODs™
College Station, TX (PRWEB) January 29, 2015 -- G-CON Manufacturing, Inc. is pleased to announce the completion of CE mark approval testing for the Company’s autonomous cleanroom PODs™. Given the high level of interest in PODs from European countries, G-CON began pursuing CE mark certification in the fourth quarter of 2014. To assist it in this effort, G-CON retained Technology International, Inc., a notified body, to conduct the required tests to the EU standards. Testing was conducted successfully with acceptable results, demonstrating the conformity of PODs to the European standards. CE marking represents a benchmark in the quality of G-CON’s product portfolio and allows for the delivery and circulation of PODs in the European Union countries and other countries around the world that recognize the CE mark approval process.
“From the beginning of our existence, we have had a lot of interest from the European market. With efficient operations, management and sales support in place in the U.S., and growing sales in the U.S., we are now taking steps to pursue the fast growing European market,” said Troy Arledge, Vice President of Manufacturing.
CE Marking provides a wealth of benefits to G-CON as it expands its footprint into new markets. CE Marking on a product is a manufacturer's declaration that the product complies with the essential requirements of the relevant European health, safety and environmental protection legislation. CE Marking on a product indicates to governmental officials that the product may be legally placed on the market in their country. CE Marking on a product ensures the free movement of the product within the EFTA & European Union (EU) single market (total 28 countries), and CE Marking on a product permits the withdrawal of the non-conforming products by customs and enforcement/vigilance authorities.
About G-CON Manufacturing
G-CON designs and builds cleanrooms for biomanufacturing and pharmaceutical development that are comprehensive, affordable, scalable and flexible. No other product on the market or able to be built provides a better combination of such characteristics. G-CON's founders’ experience in designing, building, operating, and maintaining a variety of traditional biomanufacturing facilities and their recognition of the shortcomings of those approaches led to the creation of PODs. G-CON PODs can also be used for multiple purposes and are repurposable, instead of single purpose and fixed as are competitive offerings.
