G&G Clothesline is announcing the New DL14 Umbrella Sunshine Clothesline
Parkersburg, IA. (PRWEB) March 09, 2014 -- G&G Clothesline has made improvements to its long standing, handcrafted large umbrella style Sunshine Clothesline. People who take the Sunshine Clothesline up and down will find the new features very helpful; the new over center Latch Lever easily raises the Arms the last few inches, locks the Arms and sets the line tension. Families, who wash large sheets, blankets and large amounts of laundry, will find the new features very helpful, because the 14 foot Sunshine Clothesline has much more available line space.
Just like all of the Sunshine Clotheslines, the model DL14 is made from good quality materials. All steel parts are heavy gauge, galvanized or plated, the rope is made from hollow braid polyurethane with ultra violet inhibitors, and the Arms are made from “time proven” Southern Yellow Pine. There is 183 feet of available rope on the DL14. New this year is a better method to clean and prepare the Arms for accepting a finish; this process yields a better finish and longer lasting weather resistance. The DL14 clothesline also rotates in the wind so that the sun's rays directly hit more of the clothing therefore drying it faster and adding the disinfecting effect of killing mold, bacteria, and even fungus. The top lines on the DL14 are 114" long, which will easily hold king size sheets. The vertical height adjustment is more than previous models and is approximately 12 inches and can be done without the use of any tools.
To use a Sunshine Clothesline, position the Ground Socket in the yard in a sunny location at least 8 feet from any building or obstruction. Next place the DL14 into the Ground Socket, raise the clothesline, and lock in place with the latch.
The Sunshine Clothesline is made with a simple well thought out design. Each area of it is designed and built to perform a function well and do it for MANY years in the outdoor weather. These components work together to make using this clothesline practical and easy. It is a testament to the Sunshine Clothesline that it has been selling since 1913 and patented in 1915. Since the Sunshine Clothes Dryer has been made since 1913, it is fortunate that G&G Industries has from the early developers and builders. G&G manufactures the Sunshine Clothesline and has since the early 1970's. G&G was started by employees from the original manufacturer of the Sunshine Clothes Dryer, which is Clay Equipment of Cedar Falls IA. One of the early G&G owners is still working with us today. Thanks are given to the Cedar Falls IA Historical Society for providing copies of advertisements dating back to the very early days. Patent drawings, descriptions, and granting of the patent dating December 14, 1915, number 1,163,639 are also part of our reference materials. For further reference and nostalgia G&G is lucky to have Sunshine Clothes Dryers, mostly donated by customers, manufactured in approximately the 1930's. The era they were made is determined by comparing the manufacturing changes to pictures in advertisements which are dated. Reviewing this reference material and blending it with what customers are asking for today has promoted G&G to produce and offer the DL14 Sunshine Clothes Line.
The new DL14 will give laundry customers needing large capacity clotheslines just what they need, while still not taking up as much yard space as would the conventional T-Pole types. The Sunshine Clothesline will dry clothes in a condensed area while still getting much needed wind and sunlight into the clothes. These features that aid laundry with easier setup, take down and removal for storage of this new clothesline.
