GA Music Awards Heating Up Again for 2014
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 06, 2014 -- The GA Music Awards is still more than four months away, but planning is really heating up. Heading back to the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta for the third year, show organizers believe the centralized location has contributed in large part to the success of the show.
The GA Music Awards asks artists and their fans to make as many nominations as they would like during the two month nomination period, but they can only nominate each artist once. The end of the nomination period, scheduled for April 7, 2014, is followed by a brief break before voting begins. While fans are voting for their favorite artists, the industry selection committee reviews the artist’s body of work and submits their ranking, which is then tallied at the end of the voting period with the votes from the general public. Winners are not made public until they are announced at the GA Music Awards, and all nominees are invited to attend.
“We really look for locations central to the artists,” states Omar McCallop of O Ent Inc and Award Show Nation, “We believe we’ve been successful in Georgia in getting the artists and their fans to come support them in part due to the easily accessible Buckhead Theatre within the state and in part due to the opportunity to book shows around the GA Music Awards.”
So far, the GA Music Awards has confirmed presenters in Angie Ward from 94.9 The Bull, Johnny O from Q100, Kara Wilson from B98.5FM and Jasmine Farrar, a Carolina Music Awards Model of the Year Winner.
Tickets for the GA Music Awards, scheduled for June 14 in Atlanta, GA, will be available for purchase beginning this week at the Buckhead Theatre and online from Ticketmaster. The GA Music Awards is also actively seeking sponsors for the awards show.
