San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) June 13, 2016 -- Galvanize, the tech learning community that offers education, workspace and networking, today announced three additions to its corporate leadership. These new leaders bring over 50 years of deep industry experience in education, technology and tech education.
The following executives have been carefully selected to further Galvanize’s success and growth strategy and include:

· Ryan Orban, Chief Technology Officer
· Caroline Esmurdoc, General Manager, San Francisco
Beatrice Spaine brings a wealth of marketing and branding experience and joins Galvanize from Lynda.com (acquired by LinkedIn, 2015) where she was Vice-President, Consumer Marketing. At Lynda.com, Spaine was responsible for subscriber and revenue growth for company’s consumer-facing business, drove all marketing efforts including brand strategy, customer acquisition and retention and generated more than 20% growth in subscription bookings and 40% growth in paying subscribers. At Galvanize, Spaine will lead the company’s brand and product positioning and build awareness of the company's offerings.
“Galvanize is a truly unique environment for learning and growth and there’s an amazing story here about the people and mission,” Spaine said. “I am excited to share that story and help people connect with the active community and opportunities at Galvanize who want to access and accelerate careers in technology.”
Ryan Orban was promoted to Chief Technology Officer; he previously served as Executive Vice-President of Product and Strategy. Before joining Galvanize, Orban served as the Founder and CEO of Zipfian Academy, the leading provider of immersive data science education. In his new role, he will use his experience in machine learning, data engineering, and bioinformatics to oversee the vision and direction of Galvanize education programs, as well as instructional design, data analytics, and content production.
“As an entrepreneur, engineer and tech evangelist, the Galvanize community is a perfect fit for my work and passions,” Oban said. “I’m thrilled to start this new role and be able to share even more of my experience to help guide and empower the student experience and learning at Galvanize.”
Caroline Esmurdoc will direct the San Francisco campus of Galvanize and joins the Galvanize team from Hack Reactor, where she was the Chief Executive Officer. As General Manager in San Francisco, Esmurdoc will establish the campus’s strategic direction in order to cultivate outstanding student and member experience, grow revenue and manage operational efficiencies and further the Galvanize brand in the local startup and entrepreneurial community.
“One of the things that’s exciting about Galvanize is that it’s not just a tech learning environment or a space for growing companies – it connects the two and is also an outstanding place for community engagement and connectivity,” Esmurdoc said. “The San Francisco campus is an amazing space and a highly visible landmark in the tech community and I’m excited to build on that and be part of delivering more and better service and support for our members, students and community.”
Galvanize teaches web development, data science and data engineering to students who are looking to start or advance in tech careers as well as those who seeking to refresh or level-up their existing tech skills. The company runs eight beautifully designed campuses in communities including San Francisco, Denver, Boulder, Ft. Collins, Seattle, Austin and Phoenix where start-ups and established companies use workspace and networking opportunities to build tech-enabled innovations.
