Garment Printing.com are collaborating with elBulli and Ferran Adrià, producing printed merchandise for the elBulli Foundation’s creative gastronomy project Bullipedia
London, England and Barcelona, Spain (PRWEB UK) 30 July 2013 -- Garment Printing.com is collaborating with branded merchandise as they take part in the Hacking Bullipedia challenge organised by the elBulli Foundation. The t shirt printing company has also produced posters and other promotional items to help publicise the challenge.
Bullipedia is a project to condense the heritage of the world-famous elBulli restaurant and its chef, Ferran Adrià, into a repository of gastronomic knowledge that can be used by, and inspire, current and future generations of chefs around the world.
Hacking Bullipedia is the first step in the foundation’s Global Bullipedia Challenge, inviting students and other creative individuals to work together to develop applications that will help to shape the Bullipedia culinary archive into the best organised online knowledge base in the world.
The competition is open to students from universities such as Harvard, Stanford, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Keiko University Japan, Aalto University Helsinki and Universidad Carlos III Madrid, and gets officially underway in September 2013. The deadline for submissions is 30 October with the winners announced at the end of November.
The elBulli Foundation chose Garment Printing to fulfill its merchandising and promotional printing requirements for the challenge because of their international supply chain, range of products and services, and most of all their professional problem solving approach, and the company is responsible for the printing of the marketing materials to participating universities and research centres worldwide.
“To be working alongside Ferran Adrià & elBulli is an honour for my business, having missed the chance to eat at elBulli, at least this way we can be part of its future, and ensure excellence in our own way,” comments Garment Printing Director Gavin Drake.
