Garmin fenix 2 Versus Suunto Ambit 2 GPS Watch Wars Says HRWC

Both watches have trackback and other advanced navigation features including 3-D compasses, barometric altimeters and waypoints, but the fenix 2 has 1,000 waypoints while the Ambit 2 does 100. "The big decision here is if navigation is a high priority then the fenix 2 is likely the better choice".
Sports Features
Garmin fenix 2 Performer Bundle has the best running features but Suunto Ambit 2 has the ability to run apps fro more sports according to Squire. "Both watches have excellent advanced training features so that is a draw in my mind, except for the running features and there, as we've said, the fenix 2 wins", says Squire.
Availability and Pricing
Garmin fenix 2 sells for $399.99 without heart rate and for $449.99 in the Performer bundle with the new HRM-Run strap. "We definitely recommend people get the Performer bundle because it adds, VO2 max, recovery times, run oscillation, ground contact time and loads of advanced data", says Squire. He adds, "The strap is $99 separately".
