Gate Precast Appoints Stini to Manage Pearland, TX, Plant
Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 05, 2015 -- Gate Precast has promoted industry veteran Jim Stini to manage operations at its Pearland, TX, hollow core concrete plant. Stini is no stranger to the precast industry, having worked for Gate since 1996 – most recently as estimating and sales manager – and served in a variety of industry leadership positions.
Dean Gwin, Gate president and COO, is confident that Stini will drive the Pearland office to the next level. “Jim and I go way back,” Gwin said. “Both of us used to estimate and manage joint ventures for Gate. He puts his heart and soul into everything he does. Jim will do a great job running our Pearland, TX, hollow core plant. I hope he is knocking on my door soon with new product opportunities for Gate in Texas.”
In his new position, Stini will handle all duties associated with operations in the Pearland office. Over the past 25 years, he has estimated and managed hundreds of projects, covering all market sectors. Additionally, he is trained in the AGC General Contractor Superintendent’s Course, and is a PCI Certified Field Auditor and PCI Certified Company Auditor. He holds contracting licenses in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi, and has received 30-hour OSHA training.
Stini is also a leader in the precast industry, having served as chairman of the Spancrete Marketing Committee, and held leadership positions with the Spancrete Manufacturers Association and the PCI Erector’s Committee.
Gate Precast Co.’s Pearland plant is a PCI (C2) certified plant and is among eight Gate manufacturing facilities that regularly engage in the design, engineering, fabrication, transportation and erection of architectural and structural precast concrete systems.
