Gather Digital Further Heightens Event Engagement with New Contact Exchange Feature
Chapel Hill, NC (PRWEB) December 20, 2016 -- Event applications leader Gather Digital has announced the launch of a new feature called Contact Exchange, a tool that allows conference attendees to create their own virtual business cards with a photo, logo, choice of colors and more. They can then share the card with fellow conference goers simply by scanning the QR code within the app. Scanned cards can be imported directly into the phone’s contacts.
Gather Digital offers mobile apps customized for individual events. The virtual card is created by tapping “My Card” on the app and filling in whatever information the user would like to share. Editable fields include name, job title, phone number, email, photo, organization, organization logo and card color.
The event app Contact Exchange capability is the newest addition to a suite of features from Gather Digital that allows planners to more effectively meet guests’ needs and heighten their experience. The mobile app provides attendees with, for example, a personal, in-hand itinerary. They can create their own agendas and adjust on the fly.
The Gather Digital app also presents guests with discussion boards to gauge group opinions and gain consensus on key questions. The results can then be posted in-app or on monitors in common areas. These and other features, available in single and multi-event apps, add texture and heighten engagement because attendees feel more invested as they help shape the event proceedings.
