Gatlinburg, TN (PRWEB) April 06, 2015 -- Gatlinburg Smoky Mountain Spring kicks off a full season of events on April 10 and 11 with Wine Fest Weekend. The Gatlinburg Wine, Dine and Art Crawl on Friday, April 10 and the Gatlinburg Wine Fest on Saturday, April 11 offers wine and art aficionados a weekend of touring Gatlinburg art galleries and tasting the finest of Gatlinburg’s culinary fare and Tennessee wines.
Wine and art lovers will enjoy exploring the historic Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community on a private tour of four participating art complexes during the Wine, Dine and Art Crawl from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10. Guests will meet the artists while sampling wines from the Rocky Top Wine Trail and enjoying hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants. Located in Sevier County, the Rocky Top Wine Trail includes Eagle Springs Winery, Hillside Winery, Mountain Valley Winery, The Apple Barn Winery and Sugarland Cellars. Reservations are required.
The culinary celebration will continue Saturday, April 12, 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., for the 3rd annual Gatlinburg Smoky Mountain Wine Fest at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Guests at Wine Fest will be able to tour the classrooms and galleries throughout the afternoon.
Sanctioned by the Tennessee Wineries Association, the highly successful wine festival will feature 16 wineries from across Tennessee providing samples of their labels along with small dish fare from the best restaurants in the Smoky Mountains. Wine talks and food pairing demonstrations will be presented throughout the festival by the best sommeliers in Tennessee and top chefs in Gatlinburg.
Guests at Smoky Mountain Wine Fest will have the opportunity to sample wine from all over the state of Tennessee. Vintners include: Beans Creek Winery, Goodwater Vineyards, Grinder’s Switch Winery, Keg Springs Winery, Cades Cove Cellars, Paris Winery, Reedy Creek Vineyards & Cellars, Sumner Crest Winery, Tennessee Valley Winery, Amber Falls Winery, Apple Barn Winery, Eagle Springs Winery, Hillside Winery, Mountain Valley Winery, and Sugarland Cellars.
Individual tickets for the Wine, Dine and Art Crawl are $45, $20 for Wine Fest and combo tickets for both events are $55. Participants must be at least 21-years-old. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts.
