The auctions will be held on August 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. ET, and August 26, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. PT, respectively. General Cable, a premier International Wire & Cable Manufacturer, has discontinued product manufacturing and distribution at its La Malbaie facility located in Quebec, Canada, as well as its Roseburg, Oregon location. There will be over 2,300 lots featured including Stranders, Rod Breakdown Mills, Redraw Lines, Bow Twister Lines, Jacketing Lines, Pay-Offs, Take-Ups and more from top manufacturing brands such as Niehoff, Krupp, Ceeco, Davis Standard and Vaughn. Both facilities also include a wide variety of plant support equipment.
The General Cable La Malbaie plant facility produced a variety of high and low voltage aluminum conductors of different alloys and aluminum / steel reinforced conductors for transmission power lines through 750 KV. The Roseburg, Oregon plant was involved in drawing and insulating of nonferrous wire and was originally purchased as part of the company’s Alcan Cable acquisition in the fall of 2012.
