Georgia Law Firm Gary Martin Hays & Associates Helps Foster Care Agency Purchase Christmas Gifts for Foster Kids
DULUTH, Ga. (PRWEB) December 09, 2017 -- The Law Offices of Gary Martin Hays & Associates are partnering with Families 4 Families to bring Christmas presents to foster children in Georgia this year. Families 4 Families is a non-profit foster care and adoption agency whose goal is to either reunite foster children with their biological families or find permanent, loving homes for them.
There are more than 14,000 children in foster care in Georgia and more than 400 kids waiting to be adopted. Many of these children come into their foster families around the holidays. For foster families, money is often tight and many parents cannot afford the extra expense of Christmas gifts for their foster children.
“I started organizing Christmas presents for foster children in 2016 after someone volunteered to sponsor my foster daughter for Christmas,” said Holly Ballantine, Director of Outreach and Engagement for Families 4 Families. “I know that the holidays can put a strain on families and their offer to us was greatly appreciated.”
To help foster children receive Christmas gifts this year, participants can donate by going to https://www.paypal.me/Families4Families, choosing an amount, and sending the donation to the email gary(at)families4families.cc.
Participants can also purchase gift cards and drop them off at the firm’s Duluth office at 3098 Breckinridge Blvd, Duluth, GA 30096. The types of gift cards being accepted include Amazon, WalMart, Toys’R’Us, Target, or general gift cards like Visa or American Express.
Donations are being accepted from now until Friday, December 15. The goal is to raise a total of $15,000 for foster kids and their families to give them a Christmas they will treasure forever.
“It’s so easy and worthwhile to step up and make a difference in the life of a child. A donation, whether it’s $5, $20, or $50 or more, will have such a huge impact on them, especially at this time of year,” said Attorney Gary Martin Hays.
