Georgia Partnership Accepting Applications for the 2016 Georgia Rural School-based Telehealth Center Grant
Waycross, GA (PRWEB) May 17, 2016 -- Georgia Partnership for TeleHealth (GPT), a charitable nonprofit promoting the establishment of telemedicine programs in communities throughout Georgia, announces that it is accepting applications for the 2016 Georgia Rural School-based Telehealth Center Grant. The deadline for application is June 10, 2016.
The Rural School-Based Telehealth Center Initiative’s grant program is open exclusively to rural Georgia public and charter schools located in counties with a population of less than 35,000 residents. In addition to these requirements for eligibility, applicants can be:
• Local public health agencies
• Community health centers
• Rural health centers
• Non-profit hospitals
• Federally qualified health centers
• Community mental health centers
• Independent nonprofit medical practices
The selected recipients will receive up to $30,000 in grant funding, which goes directly to the development of a School Based telehealth program, funding the purchasing of telehealth equipment and training.
