Georgia Partnership for TeleHealth Announces Sixth Annual Telemedicine Conference in Savannah, Georgia
Waycross, Georgia (PRWEB) February 17, 2015 -- Georgia Partnership for TeleHealth (GPT), a charitable nonprofit promoting the establishment of telemedicine programs in communities throughout Georgia, announces it will hold its Sixth Annual Telemedicine Conference March 25-27, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Savannah, Georgia.
This year’s conference theme, “Telemedicine: It’s Here, It’s Now,” will bring together dynamic speakers to discuss new technology and opportunities within healthcare IT and telemedicine. Those interested in healthcare reform or learning more about telemedicine are invited to attend, including healthcare providers, IT professionals, telecom providers, hospital administrators, school-based health professionals, government policy advisors and medical mission group representatives.
“Over the years, GPT’s Telemedicine Conference has brought key players across different disciplines together to discuss the future of telemedicine,” said Sherrie Williams, Executive Director at Georgia Partnership for TeleHealth. “Telemedicine program adoption has increased significantly in the United States and beyond within the past 12 months. The time for telemedicine is now. During this year’s conference our speakers are going to focus on how we can build on this momentum and broaden our reach even further for more people to benefit from telemedicine programs.”
As a new addition to this year’s conference, GPT will offer a separate grant writing workshop that will cover tips and tools for organizations to apply for grant funding. Those interested in school-based telehealth clinic grants are especially encouraged to attend, as there will be specific insight into school funding sources.
