New York, NY (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- On Saturday, August 17th and Sunday, August 18th, Gersowitz Libo & Korek, P.C. will title sponsor the 8th Annual Gardiner Memorial Basketball Classic Tournament in St. James Park in the Bronx from Noon to 8pm each day.

The Gardiner Foundation was established by Dexter Gardiner in 2006 in memoriam of the tragic loss of six of his family members in a devastating car accident. Recognizing the need for families in similar situations throughout the community, the foundation offers a variety of social and financial support to families who have suffered a sudden and tragic loss.

“The Gardiner Foundation continues to be an inspiration to all New Yorkers, and Gersowitz, Libo & Korek, P.C. is honored to be a title sponsor of the Tournament for the 5th straight year,” said Jeff Korek, a partner at the personal injury law firm Gersowitz, Libo & Korek, P.C.

This two-day event, which receives plenty of local media coverage, is one the Bronx’s most anticipated summer events and attractions. The event includes live entertainment, music, food and a memorial service where family members will receive a memorial plaque in honor of a loved one who has recently passed away.

Gersowitz Libo & Korek, P.C.’s goal is to make this year’s Tournament one of the biggest events in its history. They are asking for donations towards the scholarship programs, memorial plaques, trophies, backpacks, school supplies, electronics, food and beverages, and team uniforms.
