ROCKVILLE, Md. (PRWEB) January 23, 2018 -- The World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) has named Get Real Health as a winner of its 22nd Annual Maryland International Leadership Award. WTCI chose Get Real Health and six other firms for the award from among 150,000 Maryland companies and will honor the winners during Maryland’s 22nd Annual International Business Leadership Awards ceremony, which is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on March 8 at The Jim Rouse Visionary Center in Baltimore.
The International Business Leadership Awards celebrate vision, international success, and excellence in leadership for Maryland firms. WTCI presents seven firms with an International Business Leadership Award, and Governor Hogan presents the Governor's Award to an individual who has demonstrated a lifetime of service to Maryland's international business community. WTCI is the largest international business network of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic, and serves as the World Bank Group’s Private Sector Liaison Officer (PSLO) for the region, enabling local firms to access opportunities in developing countries.
“We are honored and thrilled to receive this recognition,” said Get Real Health CEO and Founding Partner Robin Wiener. “In 2018, we're continuing to expand our international footprint. We're already in Canada, Europe, Australia and Vietnam, and we’re cultivating growth opportunities in the UAE, Russia, China and New Zealand.”
Maryland has been Get Real Health’s home since Wiener and her two co-founders, Mark Heaney and Jason Harmon, started the business back in 2000 in a tiny, windowless office in Rockville. The company—which expanded last summer into 8,200 square feet of office space occupying an entire floor of 51 Monroe Street in Rockville—has proudly remained in the state to become a digital health leader not only in the U.S., but also in exporting digital health around the world.
