Gibbs Gardens First Annual Spring Arts Festival, May 20 and 21
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 28, 2017 -- Art Show, Spring Market and Gardens
The Great green lawn, the size of a football field, will be the site for the Art Show, Spring Market, food vendors and music.
Carol Skapinetz, Arts Festival Coordinator, has lined up artists from New York, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and Georgia. Artists will offer their original work for sale in every medium: including 2-D mixed media, 3-D mixed media, clay, drawing, fiber/leather, glass, metal, painting (watercolor/pastel), painting (oil/acrylic), photography, sculpture, wood and jewelry.
Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in selecting the winner of
the event’s People’s Choice award by voting for the artwork they like best.
Wearable Butterfly Sculpture by Erh-Ping Tsai, one of the artists at the Arts Festival on May 20, 21 at Gibbs Gardens.
Spring Market
The Spring Market includes vendors selling flowers, organic soaps, fresh flowers, chocolates, artisanal jams, fresh produce, herbs and French provisions.
Madeline’s Coast 2 Coast Catering will offer gourmet fare and the Arbor Café’ is always popular for their signature chicken salad and pimento cheese.
Face painting and quick sketch portrait artists will appeal to children and adults too.
The Gardens
With more than 220 acres of gardens to see, May is a great time to view hundreds of rhododendrons, roses, hydrangeas and more. Exotic waterlilies bloom in the ponds and the Japanese Gardens offer beauty and tranquility in every season. Stroll the gardens and relax on one of the many benches stationed throughout the gardens.
Admission
For 2 days only, May 20 and 21, admission to the Gardens is reduced to $10 for the juried art show, Spring Market and Gibbs Gardens.
Gibbs Gardens is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. Our gates close at 4:00 p.m.
The Gardens are located at 1987 Gibbs Drive, Ball Ground, GA 30107.
Members may attend all events for no extra charge.
