Gibbs Law Group LLP Files 2015 Honda CR-V Class Action Lawsuit
OAKLAND, California (PRWEB) July 14, 2015 -- On July 7, 2015, Gibbs Law Group LLP filed a federal class action lawsuit against automobile manufacturer Honda on behalf of all 2015 Honda CR-V owners and lessees. The lawsuit alleges that Honda knew the 2015 CR-V was prone to severe vibrations, yet failed to disclose this issue to the prospective buyers.
The lawsuit states that 2015 Honda CR-V owners have described the vibration as “very strong,” “distracting,” and “so severe that it causes nausea migraines, and back pain.”
The complaint alleges that although Honda has acknowledged the problem, drivers who contact Honda about repairs are informed that there is no remedy. The lawsuit also states that in a complaint filed with the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration a CR-V driver reported the vibration “almost caused me to get into an accident.”
According to the lawsuit, Honda substantially redesigned the CR-V for the 2015 model year in order to improve the vehicle’s fuel efficiency relative to competitors. The lawsuit alleges that this redesign may be responsible for the vehicle’s substantial vibration at idle and low speeds.
The Honda consumer class action lawsuit is called Oakes v. American Honda Motor Company, Inc., et al., No. 8:15-cv-1076, and is currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
