Gigaom Research Unveils New Coverage Area for Enterprise Technology Buyers
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- Gigaom Research today announced the launch of Buyer’s Lens, a new coverage area designed for technology buyers. Buyer’s Lens offers research and analysis of the disruptive technology covered by other Gigaom Research channels, but more expressly from the technology buyer’s point of view.
Whether in traditional IT roles or functional management, technology buyers grapple with how emerging technology will affect their business and look for specific use cases to understand how that technology has been implemented. Buyer's Lens offers a filter through which to view and understand the technology landscape and make better deployment and buying decisions. Buyer-specific research and analysis includes: best practices for forecasting and communicating tech-driven change; assuring C-level buy in; approaches to technology governance; and vendor and technology evaluations.
“Whether managers are committed to embracing disruption or terrified by it, Buyer’s Lens can help them make sense of the all the choices,” said David Card, vice president of Gigaom Research. “Buyer’s Lens marries deep, timely analysis of emerging technology with the specific needs of buyers.”
Buyer’s Lens kicks off today with the first of a two-part series entitled, “How to Cloud.” Part one examines the technological and economic dimensions of cloud computing and provides guidance on how to incorporate changes in those areas into business computing. Buyer’s Lens will also feature curated content from all Gigaom Research coverage areas, much of which is evolved from direct feedback from the vast Gigaom blog audience.
Laura Stuart is the curator for Buyer’s Lens. She has worked with enterprise clients throughout her research consulting career, including a number of large banks and their technology providers. She will be responsible for developing new content and ensuring it supports the needs of IT buyers.
Buyer’s Lens is part of a larger Gigaom brand refresh featuring upgrades to the Gigaom Research website. Upgrades include a responsive layout for mobile and tablet users, and a more robust search function and analyst directory.
