Gilbane to Build New PK-12 and Career Tech School in the Village of Carey, OH
Columbus, OH (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- The OFCC and Carey Exempted Village School District selected Gilbane Building Company to serve as the construction manager at risk for the new prekindergarten-12th grade building and career tech center. The project also calls for Gilbane to oversee the demolition and abatement of the existing K-12 building. Once complete, the new 134,000 square-foot building will accommodate 859 students while the career tech center will accommodate 55 students.
“We are very excited to be working with the Carey School District,” said Bob Sewell, Gilbane Regional Support Operation Manager. “Gilbane has built more than 200 buildings with the OFCC and we are looking forward to bringing that local expertise to the Carey project.”
Gilbane brings experience from other local K-12 projects including Vantage Career Center, Upper Valley Career Center, Tiffin City Schools, Piqua City Schools and Seneca East Local Schools.
Construction will begin in July of 2014. The project will be complete in December of 2015.
