The company whose livelihood spans three decades debuts a new contemporary identity, "McConnell Knits" spearheaded by proprietors and partners, Joseph and Gina McConnell. The vision for new ownership is to expand their current market reach from Europe to North America with the ultimate goal of globalizing their new brands.
The former Casa Fisher, Ltd., has worked closely with skilled Bolivian knitting and weaving masters to develop traditional Intarsia knitting art forms that are adapted to perform in today’s high fashion standards.
Throughout the years, Casa Fisher has gained a reputation for pristine quality and style securing key accounts in Latin American and Europe with a strong distribution presence in Germany and Holland.
Gina McConnell, who spearheads the US headquarters in Virginia travels frequently to South America to provide strategic direction and inspirational leadership to a team of over fifty employees in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Working alongside Bolivian national, COO, Eduardo Patiño and a team of designers.
The McConnell Knits brand has been hand selected among a group of knit designers to debut at the international apparel trade show, Intermezzo produced by Enk Shows during May 5-7th, 2014 at Pier 94 in New York City, New York. The women’s line will feature the classic Intarsia knits as well as a newer collection, “McConnell Knits- Contemporary” featuring rich Fall and Winter inspired color blocks, solids and patterns made with Baby Alpaca and Silk yarn combinations. A new line of cold weather accessories created with soft, supple, luxurious Alpaca is anticipated to be a top seller among the new styles offered.
