Gingerbread Lane Celebrates 25th Annual Return To Hyatt Regency Vancouver
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) November 03, 2015 -- The sweetest lane in the city celebrates its 25th annual return to the lobby of Hyatt Regency Vancouver from December 4th through December 27th. Executive Chef Jeff Szombaty and the engineering team are hard at work constructing this year’s stunning gingerbread house, built to serve as the centrepiece for more than 30 gingerbread creations designed by secondary schools, professionals and amateur culinary artists.
More than a holiday attraction, Gingerbread Lane has raised over $75,000 for charity over the past 24 years, including supporting their current charity partner, Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon. This year promises to be the biggest yet as the hotel celebrates Gingerbread Lane’s 25th anniversary.

For the past quarter century, kids of all ages have enjoyed the meticulously designed masterpieces on display and have supported the partnership with Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon by making a donation when voting for their favourite gingerbread house.
The centrepiece is Executive Chef Jeff Szombaty’s gigantic gingerbread structure. Ingredients include 500 pounds of gingerbread dough, 400 pounds of confectioners’ sugar and 1,400 egg whites, plus a few secret ingredients and a little help from Hyatt's engineering department.
