Girlfriend of Lee Harvey Oswald to Make Rare Appearance in New Orleans for JFK Assassination 50th Anniversary, with Louisiana Reporter Todd Elliott for Trineday Panel
New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) September 24, 2013 -- Judyth Vary Baker the author of ME AND LEE: How I came to know, love and lose Lee Harvey Oswald, is making her first appearance in New Orleans in more than a decade to discuss her intimate relationship with Lee Harvey Oswald and why she believes he is not the killer of President John F. Kennedy.
She will be joined at the one-day symposium exploring the 50th anniversary of the assassination’s events linked to New Orleans with Louisiana reporter and author Todd Elliott, whose book A Rose by Many Other Names, explores the link between Eunice resident Rose Cherami and the JFK assassination. Ms. Rose was picked up by authorities 48 hours before the assassination and was the first non-public investigation into the murder.
Both authors will be the featured speakers at Loyola University’s Miller Hall, Room 114 on Saturday, October 19, 2013, from 9 a.m. to noon, in New Orleans. The symposium is sponsored by Trineday Publishing and Attorney Stuart H. Smith.
Judyth Vary Baker, a recluse who lives in Europe, will discuss as “summer of secrets” from 1963, when she worked with Lee Harvey Oswald and conducted a romantic relationship with him. Baker reports that on July 29, 1963 Oswald told her that there was a real conspiracy to kill JFK and that he was afraid that he was being set up to take the blame for the murder. Both Oswald and Kennedy were murdered that November.
Baker, a cancer researcher, was brought to New Orleans in April 1963 by Alton Oschner to work with a medical team on a secret project testing development of a cancer-causing biological weapon intended for Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. Oswald worked on the project with her; both were given cover jobs at Reily Coffee Company.
Her book, published in 2010, has since garnered a strong following in the JFK research community. “Stunning,” said Former Governor Jesse Ventura, who hosts the TV series American Conspiracies and ranked it among his six favorite conspiracy reads, adding that, “Her book shows beyond any doubt that (Oswald) was clearly a government agent.”
