Giving Back to the Community By Helping Feed Those in Need
Richardson, Tx (PRWEB) November 12, 2016 -- Local plumbing, heating and air conditioning company Earthwise Home Services is joining forces with every customer that they visit during the months of November and December 2016.
During the 2 months, Earthwise Home Services is Giving Back to the Community By Helping Feed Those in Need by matching every piece of canned food donated by it's customers to help feed the homeless and hungry and to help motivate their clients they are offering a 10% discount on all work performed with as little as one single can donation. Only 2 days into the month of November, the company has already collected over 172 cans for donation, which means they will be donating over 344 cans of food set to help feed those in need.
"We are excited to see the amount of canned foods already being donated, everyone is excited to be a part of such a great cause" said President Jeff Ballard after the first day of the canned food drive. "We already planned on donating food to help and I figured I'd share what I was doing with my employees" who also wanted to assist. That was quickly mirrored by the community when word got out of Jeff's plans. "It's very heart warming to see the community come together and embrace those in need without hesitation, some of our customers have emptied their pantries when they were informed of the canned food drive we are doing", said senior technician Chance Cooper, former Richardson Plumbing technician.
Food drops will be made on a biweekly basis or as needed through the end of the year to local food banks and homeless shelters. The company also plans on donating time to help feed the homeless at food banks over the next few months.
