Gizmo Greeting Cards that Come to Life Using Augmented Reality, Launch on Kickstarter
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- Artiphany is proud to announce the launch of Gizmo Greeting Cards powered by DAQRI. The Gizmo line of greeting cards transform the experience of receiving a simple paper card to an exceptional visual moment using augmented reality and your smart device.
“We’ve been sending sentiments to friends, family and lovers since the dawn of time,” says John Littleboy Creative Director of Artiphany and artist behind Gizmo. “I am always looking for ways to combine art with technology and find new ways of sharing sentiments. With Daqri’s 4D capabilities, I realized we could communicate a more compelling story and create a stunning experience with dynamic greeting cards.”
By viewing Gizmo greeting cards through the free DAQRI app, the cards come alive and give you a visually delightful experience that is uniquely interactive. Gizmo Greeting Cards can currently be customized for three different occasions. To do this, the cards utilize a particularly unique 4D capability. By placing one of three special stickers on a card, you can trigger Gizmo, a lovable robot, to express different experiences. You can control and interact with Gizmo using simple taps, and with the different stickers you can wish a friend happy birthday, show a loved one you care for them, or share holiday cheer.
Gizmo Greeting Cards officially launched on Kickstarter, July 24th, 2013. Artiphany hopes to raise $20,000 to begin printing cards. Early bird pricing starts at $18 for a pack of 5 cards, and a single card will sell for $5.
