Glendale Community College Hosts “LoveStruck,” a Human Trafficking Drama by Saltmine Theatre Company
Glendale, AZ (PRWEB) January 14, 2015 -- Glendale Community College hosts “Love Struck,” a trafficking awareness drama by Saltmine Theatre Company, on Wednesday, Jan. 28 for two performances, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center.
“Love Struck” follows the lives of several individuals who are all impacted by trafficking of some form. The play centers on 24-year old Claire. She met Daniel Evans six years ago at her school prom. They fell in love…and five years ago she was trafficked. The story follows various characters who face sexual exploitation and forced labor.
Saltmine Theatre partnered with Red Light Rebellion and StreetLightUSA to bring “Love Struck” to Arizona this January in order to educate the public about the international crime of human trafficking.
"We are thrilled to bring “Love Struck” to our campus,” said Vice President of Student Affairs Teresa Leyba Ruiz. “Its message is timely and relevant for students, who need to be aware that the crime of trafficking, in all its forms, exists in our community. By bringing this production to GCC we want to create opportunities for open discussion and increased awareness among students and employees."
All general admission tickets are $10 adults, $5 students with school ID, and available at
