(PRWEB) December 22, 2013 -- Glendora Country Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Shelton as Director of Sales. He will lead the membership recruitment and event sales effort on behalf of Pipeline Marketing Group, based at the prestigious Glendora Country Club.
With nearly twenty years of experience in the golf industry, Mr. Shelton brings with him a proven track record and very impressive qualifications to our Club. He has led sales recruitment and retention programs at some of the most prestigious Clubs in California including Marbella Country Club, Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club, and Pasadera Country Club on the Monterey Peninsula.
Mr. Shelton is a native of Southern California completing his undergraduate studies at the University of California – San Diego with a double major. He then obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Pepperdine University in Malibu. As one of the most respected golf professionals in Southern California, Mr. Shelton holds the highest designation in the PGA of America – PGA Master Professional. Additionally, he is the only Golf Professional of the 20,000 member organization to be certified in all seven disciplines through the PGA Certified Educational program. He is a member of the Club Managers Association of America, and holds certifications from the Golfing Machine and the Titleist Performance Institute. Most recently, in December of 2013, Mr. Shelton was elected as Director of the Section for the Southern California PGA Board of Directors.
Glendora Country Club is anticipating continued growth to its membership as it seeks to expand its marketing and awareness efforts which are focused largely on helping area residents understand the benefits of membership within this family-oriented neighborhood club.
