Global Traveler Announces Third Annual Leisure Travel Awards

The winners will be feted at a cocktail reception on April 30, 2015, on the rooftop of the Hotel Shangri-La at the Ocean in Santa Monica, Calif. The iconic Art Deco hotel hosts the event for the second consecutive year.

From these nominations, Global Traveler’s esteemed Advisory Board selected the final prestigious winners.

For the second year, Global Traveler named Special Achievement Awards. For their new Residence Cabin and Flying Nanny service, Etihad Airways was recognized for Outstanding Customized Service. American Airlines’ achievements in working with the EPA’s Climate Leaders program earned them the Outstanding Environmental Initiatives recognition. The Outstanding Innovations honor went to China Airlines for the airline’s unique Family Couch seating. British Airways received the Outstanding Social Awareness accolade for supporting more than 40 charities and its Flying Start program.
