Global Women’s Initiative Convenes Leaders on Trends Now Impacting the Marketplace and Workplace
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) September 28, 2015 -- Among the most significant trends within the U.S. marketplace today is a rapidly evolving business environment in which women professionals are moving into the forefront via key executive and staff leadership roles.
Following on the first generation of female business executives is an entirely new generation of emerging talent, bringing a new dynamic to the workplace. Exploring and expanding on these trends as well as the changes clearly occurring now in the marketplace are key aspects of the Global Women’s Initiative (GWI).
Over the next two months, GWI is set to bring together high-ranking executive leaders with women in various career stages across a range of industries, from technology to financial services. A means of making connections via direct engagement, the half-day conference is geared toward companies seeking ways to maximize the potential of their workforce by creating a work environment where women can thrive and succeed.
“It’s unmistakably clear now that a company’s ability to create a dynamic, enriching and positive workplace where women can succeed is going to be more critical than ever to a company’s ultimate success,” said Elisabeth Marchant, founder and CEO of Womenetics, which created GWI. “What’s more, women increasingly control much of the wealth in the economy. To appeal to them, a company simply must be able to attract them. Building a workplace that favors a healthy work-life balance is going to attract the best people.”
To address and expand on these surging trends, the GWI event will feature some of the top thought leaders in the business world today, engaged in a discussion of best practices, thoughtful research and solutions that can help companies maximize their talent and build a sustainable competitive edge.
Among the key questions GWI is set to address:
• What does the future of the business workplace look like?
• How to build a workplace where people want to work?
• How are the most successful leaders creating business solutions that attract and retain top talent?
The first of the pair of upcoming GWI events, set for Atlanta on Oct. 6, features an all-star panel of speakers. Among them:
• Glenn Lurie, President and CEO, AT&T Mobility
As the business world continues to innovate, so too must companies’ practices. At the center of this discussion is talent management and how businesses can cultivate their best workforce. As keynote speaker, Lurie will address his vision for the future and how AT&T intends to lead the way.

Her book, Unfinished Business: Women Men Work Family, has just been published by Random House.
