GlobiFlow Introduces New Webhook Feature for Its Globiflow for Podio Automation Service
Calgary, CA (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- GlobiFlow recently introduced a webhook feature to its GlobiFlow for Podio platform, the company's widely-used workflow automation and data visualization service for Citrix Podio.
Andreas Huttenrauch, Chief Digital Strategist, says GlobiFlow's new webhook feature will allow Podio users to capture HTTP posts from remote services and trigger flows with the posted data. Since many online services allow posting of webhook events, this opens up GlobiFlow to a vast array of new use-cases.
"One of the most-used scenarios for webhooks is with webforms," Huttenrauch explains. "Since Podio's webforms are a bit limiting, you can now use any webform service (like JotForm, Gravity Forms, etc.) to construct and embed your form on your website, and configure the form to post back the data to a GlobiFlow flow to act upon. This has made it super easy to implement things like payment forms in Podio, where the Podio native functionality does not allow it."
As GlobiFlow for Podio's user base has steadily grown over time, the company has seen the need to expand its feature set and more closely accommodate user needs.
"We are always listening to our users, and strive to make GlobiFlow the de facto Podio add-on in the market," Huttenrauch says. "Over the last few months, there have been many requests by our users to implement webhooks, for a variety of use-cases."
Since introducing the GlobiFlow for Podio webhook in April, Huttenrauch says customer response has been highly positive.
"Our users reacted very positively to this update," Huttenrauch says. "Many users posted on our workspace with praise like 'very awesome' and 'this is brilliant!' It is always interesting to see users come up with unique implementations that we didn't think of. Although most GlobiFlow users use webhooks to post back payment or form data, we've seen one client use it in conjunction with their mobile phone to log when they arrive at and leave from the office every day."
Ultimately, Huttenrauch says he feels that this webhook will make GlobiFlow for Podio the premier add-on automation service for the Podio workspace platform, both in terms of its features and ease of use.
"I think this makes us the major player in the Podio add-ons market," Huttenrauch says. "No other Podio add-on brings this level of automation and features to the table. Many of our users have expressed that they would not even have chosen Podio if it weren't for GlobiFlow. Podio's native workflows are very weak in comparison, and in many cases, GlobiFlow is cheaper for our users than having to buy into a higher Podio plan."
