GMI-AECOM Joint Venture Awarded U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command IDIQ Contract for Environmental Services
Plano, TX (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- GMI and AECOM announced today that the GMI-AECOM joint venture is one of three firms awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, worth up to US $75 million, from the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic, in Norfolk, Va.
The joint venture received notification on Wednesday, July 17 that it was awarded the NAVFAC Atlantic Natural Resources IDIQ (N62470-D-13-8017). The GMI-AECOM joint venture, based in Plano, Texas, was awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contract for various tasks to accomplish natural resource services and compliance and related environmental planning services in support of the U.S. Navy.
Anticipated work will be performed at various Navy, Marine Corps and other sites primarily within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Atlantic area of responsibility and other locations around the world.
