GMN Offers Trade-In Credit for Discontinued Iridium AxcessPoint
Maryville, TN (PRWEB) February 27, 2015 -- Global Marine Networks (GMN), a leading satellite phone and airtime retailer, today announced the launch of a trade-in program for owners of the Iridium AxcessPoint device. Customers who trade-in their now discontinued AxcessPoint to GMN will receive a $75 refund toward the purchase of a RedPort Optimizer satellite Wi-Fi hotspot, and a free month of XGate satellite data optimization service. The RedPort Aurora Iridium Satellite Terminal is also an approved product for a $75 credit upon trade-in. Both RedPort devices may now be used with the Iridium Mail & Web iOS and Android apps.
In a statement to its dealers, Iridium has identified the RedPort Optimizer as an alternative product to the Iridium AxcessPoint. There are also changes to Iridium data applications. The mobile versions of AxcessPoint Mail & Web app are no longer available and have been replaced by Iridium Mail & Web app. Iridium Mail & Web app is an upgraded version of AxcessPoint Mail & Web app and provides additional functionality including ability to request weather, enhanced home screen, compatibility with the latest mobile operating systems and expanded support for operation with RedPort Optimizer and RedPort Aurora.

Optimizer is compatible with Iridium Mail & Web iOS and Android apps, as well as RedPort XGate satellite data optimization services.
