Go Beyond Medicine®, Wholistic Medical Facility of Greater-Cincinnati-N. Kentucky, Offering Lifestyle Modification and Educational Classes for Health Conscience Clients
Greater Cinti/N.KY (PRWEB) December 31, 2015 -- Go Beyond Medicine® announced today that they will be kicking off a new weight management program, NutriMed, in January 2016. Considered to be a Very Low Calorie Diet or VLCD, NutriMed has been successful and well-documented in its approach for people who have a BMI over 30 or greater, or health considerations which make it necessary to gain control of their weight.
The program consists of 16 weeks of medically supervised treatment including an initial medical evaluation, lab work, and psychological tests giving them insight into what patients need personally to be successful. Weekly, Go Beyond Medicine® will provide educational modules, with optional meal products, medical guidance and group support. With the breadth of treatments offered at Go Beyond Medicine®, they are able to monitor what underlying factors may have contributed to the weight gain and suggest treatments that go hand-in-hand with a VLCD program.
According to spokesperson Kristi Grogan, “This is a great medical management program and alternative to the popular appetite suppressants like Adipex, as well as the HCG diet. We offer private and personalized care as well as educational classes so people can adjust their lifestyle. This is what makes this program a good fit for many people.”
Depending on how aggressive the client needs to be, options are provided to help get a lower calorie intake. More information is available on our web site. In any case, it is still a VLCD or a LCD, depending on what the patient and doctor determine is the best choice, with calorie intake ranging from 800 (VLCD) to a high of 1000 to 1200 calories (LCD) per day.
What makes this program different from other programs is the educational and support segment, coupled with the VLCD and medical supervision. It addresses the whole person, similar to what Go Beyond Medicine® does on a regular basis with all their patients.
“We believe every part of healing the body, whether from obesity or high-blood pressure, or just the cold or flu, involves more than just a visit and a pill. We treat Wholisticly, meaning the whole person is part of the healing process,” said Grogan.
The NutriMed nutritional program is no more expensive than eating at home or eating out, when you take into account the cost includes most of the food for a 16-week period. You also get the value of a full physical and medical evaluation. Some of the expense maybe covered by medical insurance, but optional products are not covered.
Go Beyond Medicine® is a wholistic medical practice focused on personalized age management and functional medicine. We bring the knowledge, capabilities and talents of fully licensed medical doctors, nutritionists, weight management specialists and counselors together under one roof to create a truly integrative health practice committed to helping patients treat current ailments, prevent future illness and take control of their total physical and mental well-being for life.
