Go Local Interactive Teams Up With The Call KC
Overland Park, Kansas (PRWEB) September 19, 2016 -- Go Local Interactive, an Overland Park digital marketing agency, is eager to announce its partnership with The Call as a member of their Corporate Partnership Program. The Call KC is an organization determined to make volunteering and service a way of life for youths across Kansas City. In addition, they coordinate volunteer opportunities for companies, community groups and individuals who want to give their time and resources. They’ve got one goal in mind and that’s connecting people with service.
The Call KC has been coordinating volunteer work for Go Local Interactive employees for about a year. Each month Brent Lager, CEO of The Call KC, contacts Go Local to share information about potential volunteering opportunities and coordinate dates that work on both ends. Through this process Go Local Interactive has had the opportunity to get in the doors of 12 different local non-profits and looks forward to working with many more. In fact – since partnering up with The Call KC, the agency’s volunteer hours have almost tripled in number.
The Call KC firmly believes that if kids learn to volunteer early, it’s not just service anymore but it becomes a way of life. In fact, the organization spends much of their time educating young minds about what service looks like and how to make a difference in the community. In order to have such an impact on a younger generation, The Call KC finds value in continuing to grow their corporate program.
Partners in the corporate program give a donation to The Call KC in return for community service coordination. By maintaining these partnerships, The Call KC is able to continue providing service education to youth across the city.
“I am really looking forward to our new partnership with their team [The Call KC]. I think it’s vital for area businesses and organizations to understand the importance of giving back to those less fortunate in the Kansas City community,” said Gwen Fritz, Social Media Specialist at Go Local Interactive. Fritz and the social media product team recently volunteered at TNK Children’s Foundation, a foundation that gives support to the families of children with cancer and other blood diseases.
Not only are Go Local Interactive employees able to regularly give back to the community, but The Call saves the company ample time by coordinating these afternoons. Go Local Interactive previously volunteered once a year, but with the help of The Call KC is now able to volunteer once a month.
“Go Local puts a huge value on giving back to the KC community, and our partnership with The Call has made it so easy to get our entire company involved on a regular basis. Their coordinating services have saved me several hours trying to find and organize volunteer outings, but the benefits of this program go far beyond time saving,” said Melanie Thaden, marketing specialist at Go Local Interactive.
The Call KC hopes to expand their Corporate Program and looks forward to the participation of even more local businesses.
Brent Lager, The Call KC CEO, closes with this, “It’s more than just the service hours or the time and money we save companies. It’s about building community and bringing together leaders from all different walks of life. The more we can connect in a positive way, the better our community is.”
