Gobiquity Adds Executive Talent and Achieves Over 175,000 Children Screened
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) December 14, 2016 -- Gobiquity, the global leader in mobile vision screening technology, strategically bolsters its executive staff and enhances its board of directors, as it positions itself for explosive growth and product expansion.
Bob Quinn joins the company as Chief Technology Officer, responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of the company’s portfolio of innovative technology. Mr. Quinn brings a robust pedigree of digital health and technology experience to the company. Most recently, he was Founder of 22otters, an interactive patient engagement platform for managing chronic conditions, and Entrepreneur in Residence at Khosla Ventures. Previously, Mr. Quinn spent over eight years as Chief Technology Officer at Epocrates.
“I am thrilled to join a progressive organization like Gobiquity. I am inspired by its mission to enable early detection and prevention of vision impairment through broad access to specialized mobile technology, and the unparalleled momentum achieved to date,” said Quinn. “I look forward to contributing to the evolution of its leading mobile vision screening platform, GoCheck Kids, and supporting the scalability and development of the company’s portfolio of vision solutions.”
The company’s flagship innovation, GoCheck Kids, was introduced in 2015 and is the world’s first and only comprehensive mobile vision screener that combines photoscreening and digital visual acuity in a single application. Since its launch, over 175,000 children have been screened to identify risk factors for amblyopia – the leading cause of permanent vision loss in children. The company is reporting that 2,500 US pediatricians are conducting an average of 10,000 screenings per month – impressive 138% year over year growth.
In addition, Michelle Snyder joins the company’s Board of Directors, bringing a wealth of digital health experience transcending both consumer and healthcare professional channels. Currently the Chief Marketing Officer at Welltok, Michelle previously served as an early member of the senior executive team at Epocrates, where she led subscriber acquisition and monetization activities.
Gobiquity has changed the standard of care through innovative mobile vision screening tools, and in doing so has built a foundation for its forthcoming evolution. “We are committed to adding to our portfolio of vision solutions. Our goal is to reach and connect a broader audience, globally, in markets serviced by other health professionals and consumers, establishing Gobiquity as the ubiquitous vision solution for healthcare,” says Andrew Burns, Chief Executive Officer, “and we are very excited to add both Bob and Michelle to our executive leadership team to support our mission.”
