GoCardless and Chargebee Partner to Roll Direct Debit to European Businesses
London, UK & San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 15, 2016 -- Chargebee’s subscription platform is the foundation for some of the fastest-growing subscription businesses in the world. It has now introduced GoCardless as a way for those companies to bill their customers, letting them offer Direct Debit payment to the broad European market at the flick of a switch.
The GoCardless integration allows Chargebee customers to add Direct Debit as a payment option for their subscription business. It makes it easy to manage billing and payments together, keeping business processes streamlined and improving productivity.
Hiroki Takeuchi, Co-Founder and CEO, GoCardless commented on the news: “As Direct Debit is the preferred way for European customers to pay for subscriptions, Chargebee’s recurring billing platform is a natural fit with GoCardless. Not only does it increase conversion rate but also reduces churn due to no card expiry. We’re excited to launch this partnership, particularly with the strong growth in subscription services and look forward to supporting Chargebee in its expansion across Europe”
Krish Subramanian, Co-Founder and CEO, Chargebee said, “GoCardless is one of the finest and most innovative fintech startups that is beating the banks with design. The GoCardless support for Direct Debit is a great boost for customers in Europe, and a much awaited supported feature at that. Our valuable partnership with GoCardless strengthens subscription as a business model for European markets, especially in UK, one of our significant markets where we would love to reinforce our presence.”
In a recently conducted survey (https://www.gocardless.com/blog/direct-debit-subscriptions/) by YouGov and GoCardless, consumers identified Direct Debit as their preferred choice for payment vs debit cards, PayPal and credit cards. With this partnership, Chargebee and GoCardless intend to bring in a smoother billing payment experience for every subscription business.
