Gocella Insurance Agency Announces Extended Charity Event in Honor of Local Community Leader Lost to Cancer
Cheektowaga, NY (PRWEB) September 28, 2017 -- Gocella Insurance Agency, a New York State insurance and financial preparation firm that provides services to communities throughout the greater Buffalo region, is announcing a charity drive honoring the Jeffrey Michael Sgroi Foundation, named after a local community leader lost to cancer in 2016.
Over the years, Jeffrey Sgroi was on the board of the Boys & Girls Club, contributed to Brian Moorman’s PUNT Foundation, and helped out with the First Tee program, as well as being actively involved in many other charitable events, and the Jeffrey Michael Sgroi Foundation (JMS) was created in his honor. Earlier this month, the JMS Foundation hosted a Golf Tournament to promote cancer research, which was attended by 164 players and raised $30,000 for local baseball field renovations.
“Our firm is joining JMS to support their ongoing efforts to raise donations for cancer research and help take away the financial burden associated with being sick,” says Tony Gocella, managing partner and co-owner of the Gocella Insurance Agency.
