Golden Village Palms Gives Back with Super Saturday
Hemet, CA (PRWEB) January 22, 2014 -- On January 18, Golden Village Palms RV Resort held the year’s first Super Saturday Charity Fundraiser to raise money for disabled veterans. Together with resort guests and community members, Golden Village Palms was able to collect over $3,200 in just one day.
This Super Saturday event, the first of three this year, included a 5K run/walk, as well as shuffleboard, pickleball, women’s billiards, sand volleyball, and Texas Hold ‘Em tournaments. Prizes were awarded for top finishers in each event.
“Every year, Golden Village Palms selects a charity or cause to fundraise for. This year, we are proud to support wounded and disabled veterans,” remarked Michael Carle, General Manager at Golden Village Palms. “We are so proud of our guests, staff and community for coming together to make this Super Saturday Charity Fundraiser a success.”
In 2013, Golden Village Palms RV Resort and its guests raised over $7,000 for the Hemet Police Department’s K-9 unit. The donated money allowed the department to purchase a new police service dog.
Golden Village Palms RV Resort is scheduled to host two additional Super Saturday Charity Fundraisers this season. The events are slated for Saturday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, March 8. Events are open to the public. More event and registration information can be found at http://www.goldenvillagepalms.com.
