Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach Wins Second Place at National Golf Championship
Myrtle Beach, S.C. (PRWEB) November 22, 2016 -- Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach announced today that it placed second in the National Collegiate Club Golf Association’s Fall National Championship. The two-day tournament, which took place Nov. 19-20, was hosted at the Walt Disney World Golf Courses.
Prior to the championship, more than 350 colleges around the country competed in 56 NCCGA regional qualifying tournaments. Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach was one of only 30 teams to qualify for the fall national tournament.
With its second-place win, Golf Academy of America’s Myrtle Beach campus has again cemented its reputation as one of the top golf schools in the country.
Eight skilled golfers competed on the championship team: Ben Boyd, Daniel Childress, Andrew Harvey, David Kravies, Mark Mullery, Joshua O’hearn, Jordan Quinn and Michael Santavicca.
Childress and Quinn tied for 13th place in the individual rankings. Quinn was also named to the prestigious All-Tournament Team.
Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach finished in fourth place in the NCCGA Spring National Championship earlier this year.
