Golf Digest Recognizes Rosewood CordeValle as One of America's Greatest Golf Courses
San Martin, Calif. (PRWEB) January 27, 2015 -- Rosewood CordeValle announced today that their championship golf course was recognized in Golf Digest‘s list of “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses” in the February 2015 issue. The biennial list ranked CordeValle as No. 44, increasing their standing from No. 61 when the list appeared in 2013-2014.
The championship golf course at CordeValle is a 7,360-yard, 18-hole signature design by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The course lies on gently rolling terrain in a pastoral valley, enhanced by broad meadows, streams, striking sycamore and mature California oak trees, bringing into play countless options throughout a round. CordeValle hosted the PGA Tour’s Frys.com Open from 2010-2013 and will be the site of the U.S. Women’s Open in 2016.

The 70th annual U.S. Women’s Open Championship in 2016 at CordeValle will feature a field of 156 of the world’s best professionals and amateur golfers. The championship, which will be conducted July 4-10, will be the first Women’s Open held in the Bay Area, and the third time the event will be held in the state of California. The event will be broadcasted to more than 50 countries and include more than 15 hours of live television coverage on Fox Sports.
