Goliath Games Signs Licensing Agreement with "The Kinetic King"
Plano, TX (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- This is not your everyday, run-of-the-mill Popsicle fort. Tim Fort, the self-proclaimed “Kinetic King,” weaves amazing chain-reaction masterpieces using sticks, connectors, bridges and balloons. When these elaborate creations explode, kinetic energy causes them to rise up 3 feet off the ground like a huge cobra ready to strike. Now, children can create their own explosive designs with Stick Storm™, the building sets by Goliath Games™ based on Fort’s concept.
Goliath Games™ recently entered into a licensing agreement with Fort, who achieved national “stick” acclaim when he beat out thousands of contestants in 2011 to become a semi-finalist on the hit television show, America’s Got Talent. His chain reaction gadgets caught the attention of the judges as he created larger, more intricate designs each week. He might have won the whole thing if he didn't experiment with painting the sticks in the semifinals.
"It looked beautiful, but I didn't have time to test it and the sticks just stuck together and wouldn't fly." Instead of being discouraged he blew the celebrity judges away a few weeks later with an even greater feat. As Fort himself said, “The best way to deal with failure is to return with something even bigger.”
And that’s just what he’s done by partnering with Goliath Games™, who plans to sell kits that teach children how to recreate Fort’s kinetic magic. These sets will allow young creators to weave their stick storm designs across rooms, up walls and in loop-de-loops using their limitless imaginations. Two kits will be available at Toys R Us, Amazon and hundreds of other toy retailers in the United States starting August 15:
• Stick Storm Classic 115-piece set: 100 sticks, 1 starter tool, 4 eight-position connectors , 2 three-position connectors, 2 removable glue hooks, 2 stick clips and novelty glasses
• Stick Storm Cobra Strike 240-piece set: 200 sticks, 1 starter tool, 4 five-position connectors, 6 three-position connectors, 2 multilayer connectors, 4 normal balloons, 4 long balloons, 4 balloon trigger sticks, 4 balloon trigger clips, 1 balloon mouthpiece and novelty glasses
And of course, Fort’s personal insider tips and tricks are included in the kits as well and in how-to videos at http://www.stickstorm.com.
On August 25, 2013, Fort will begin preparations to set a Guinness Record for the World’s Largest Stick Storm kinetic chain reaction. It’s set to explode August 28 at the NEMO Science Center in Amsterdam at the hand of a lucky winner of a contest sponsored by Disney's Phineas and Ferb brand. After this record-breaking feat, Fort will team up with Goliath Games™ in Hattem, Holland to brainstorm concepts for expanding the stick kit line to seven different sets by 2014 for even bigger and more elaborate designs. With these endless possibilities, Fort will need to watch out – there could soon be a new kinetic king or queen in town.
