Goodwill Community Foundation Teams With Durham Bulls For Donations
Durham, NC (PRWEB) May 21, 2014 -- Goodwill Community Foundation (GCF®) and the Durham Bulls have teamed up to help provide life enriching opportunities to people across eastern North Carolina via donations to GCF®, a Durham-based, tax-exempt organization dedicated to creating opportunities for a better life.
Your donation of gently used clothing and household items will be accepted at baseball games played at the Durham Athletic Park this summer on June 20, 21 and 22; July 4, 5 and 6; July 16; and August 8, 9, and 10.
“Donations are what drives our ability to provide services and funding for people and organizations across eastern North Carolina,” says Rev. Dennis McLain, GCF® president. “We ask that fans attending games this summer bring their gently used items to help us fund programs to feed the hungry, support individuals and families with special needs, provide disaster relief, employment opportunities, youth services and help people acquire needed technology, math and English skills through free online training at gcflearnfree.org.”
94 percent of the revenue from the items donated to GCF® fund programs and grants for people across eastern North Carolina. GCF® receives no government funding. For more information on how GCF does this, please visit http://www.gcfglobal.org.
