Goodwill Manasota executive named to Goodwill Industries International board of directors
Bradenton, Florida (PRWEB) August 12, 2015 -- Bob Rosinsky, president and CEO of Goodwill Manasota, has recently been elected to the Goodwill Industries International board of directors. Rosinsky has spent more than 40 years with the Goodwill organization, serving in his current capacity since January 2013. His election took place during the annual Goodwill meeting of executives and board leaders held recently in San Diego, CA; he will serve a three-year term.
"I am happy to be a part of the Goodwill Industries International board, where we can work together to ensure that our organization is reaching new milestones and helping more people," Rosinsky said. "“Goodwill is amazing – we take things that people don’t want anymore, we take people who are too often overlooked, and with dedication, compassion and some business savvy we have created a sustainable business that benefits people and communities worldwide. It is my honor to be recognized as a leader in this effort."
Rosinsky began his Goodwill career in Milwaukee after receiving his bachelor’s degree from Carroll College in Waukesha, WI. He has run Goodwill organizations in Ohio and Florida, and helped to train Goodwill executives worldwide. He became involved with the local Goodwill in 1991 as a consultant, formally coming on board with agency in 1996. He immediately sought ways to increase capacity and maximize positive economic impact to the region.
“Bob is intimately familiar with the Goodwill mission, having spent more than four decades in various capacities with the organization,” said Jim Gibbons, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries International. “I am pleased to have him as a trusted and valuable member of our board of directors, and I look forward to his input and guidance as we work together over the next three years.”
Over the course of his career, Rosinsky has received several national and local awards in recognition of his leadership and commitment to innovation, including the Robert E. and Charlotte Watkins Award for Excellence in Mission Advancement from Goodwill Industries International. He has also been recognized as the Humanitarian of the Year by the Lakewood Ranch Community Foundation, and received the Archangel Award from Ave Maria Preparatory School in Myakka City, Florida.
