Governor Larry Hogan to Attend Frederick Rescue Mission’s Grand Opening of Faith House
Frederick, Maryland (PRWEB) December 01, 2016 -- Governor Larry Hogan will attend the grand opening of Faith House, a ministry provided by the Frederick Rescue Mission for homeless women and children in the Frederick Community, on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 3:30 p.m.
Governor Hogan will be joined by local elected officials including Frederick Mayor Randy McClement; Charlie Smith, State’s Attorney for Frederick County; and Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner to commemorate the grand opening, which is a culmination of five years of planning and building. In addition to officials, the celebration is open to the public.
The Frederick Rescue Mission has received widespread community support and generosity for Faith House, raising more than $2 million from private donors to break ground at 731 North Market St., to build a safe and encouraging environment for women and children to pursue new lives.
Housing up to 20 people, Faith House will allow women to participate in a 90-day program created to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs while promoting self-sufficiency. To find out more about the Frederick Rescue Mission, visit http://www.therescuemission.org.
