GPS2014 Attendees Examine Shared Services—Post OMB-Treasury Announcement
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) May 05, 2014 -- Just four days after the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced the designation of four shared services financial management providers, Federal agency experts come together at the 14th annual Government Performance Summit (GPS2014) to discuss the successful use of the shared-services model.
Amid the government mandate to stop building costly, agency-specific systems, OMB and Treasury named four vendors that would provide core accounting and other services to Federal agencies.
Elizabeth Angerman, Director, Office of Financial Innovation and Transformation, Department of the Treasury joins:
• Bill McCabe, CFO, Program Support Center, Department of Health and Human Services
• Peter Moore, Director, Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Department of Treasury
• Joseph Ward, Jr., Director, Interior Business Center, U.S. Department of the Interior
“It’s with the warmest of welcomes that the Government Performance Summit brings together this distinguished panel of Treasury officials and Shared Services Providers to discuss this important initiative and how shared services providers are helping provide value across government,” explains Diane Denholm, Policy Director, The Performance Institute, and moderator of the session. “These notable officials are leading the way as we pursue initiatives to streamline the way government delivers services internally, with a particular focus on the core administrative and financial functions that are common across the government.”
